Three local charities partner to further support local families through the  Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF) and receive $40,000!

Precious Bundles, a non-profit group of parents helping other parents by recycling quality used children’s clothing and essential items throughout the community of Thunder Bay, has received a grant of $40,000 from the ECSF, managed locally by the Thunder Bay Community Foundation and the United way, to help those families receiving the Family Food Packages, distributed by Roots to Harvest and Our Kids Count.

Families who access the Roots to Harvest and/or Our Kids Count Family Food Packages and other services will be able to fill out a request form, from these locations and within two weeks be provided with summer essentials for children aged newborn to size 16. The bundles will include socks, underwear, summer clothing, shoes and other seasonal items. Families will be able to access these bundles once through this program and any future needs will be directed to the regular Precious Bundles request avenues.

The Precious Bundles Clothing Assistance Program COVID-19 Family Essential Item Recovery Project is supported by the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund, the Thunder Bay Community Foundation and the United Way of Thunder Bay.  Thank you to all those that helped us achieve this amazing opportunity to further help our community.
